Research Developed by Maxion Professional Receives Recognition in Engineering Awards
Research developed by a professional from the Cruzeiro facility reinforces the company’s technical capability to generate applied knowledge for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Maxion’s engineering team was highlighted at two of Brazil’s leading Production Engineering events through a study developed by Rodrigo Giornes Torres, Engineering Supervisor at the Cruzeiro facility. The research, focused on evaluating the operational efficiency of industrial equipment, received recognition from the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Production Engineering (ANPEPRO) and the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (ABEPRO), reinforcing the technical relevance of the solutions developed by the company’s professionals.
During the Research and Graduate Studies Meeting in Production Engineering (EPPGEP), the paper entitled “An Innovative Method for Evaluating the Efficiency of Industrial Equipment Through Network Data Envelopment Analysis” received the ANPEPRO Professional Master’s Award. The research was also recognized with an Honorable Mention as a finalist for the ABEPRO & Lean Way 2025 Award in the Professional Master’s Dissertation category during the National Production Engineering Meeting (ENEGEP), one of the country’s most important forums in the field, and additionally received the ABEPRO 2025 Award.






The study proposes an innovative approach to analyzing industrial equipment performance by integrating indicators traditionally used in manufacturing with advanced process evaluation methodologies. The model developed expands the understanding of operational efficiency and offers new possibilities for supporting continuous improvement initiatives and decision-making in industrial environments.
