Our Declaration
of Diversity & Inclusion
We embrace our global and diverse workforce and respect our individual differences that collectively make us one Maxion.
By striving to lead by example and build authentic relationships, we are committed to a more inclusive work culture.
A company for all
A little over a year ago, Maxion Structural Components established a Committee to create governance, mature, and direct the company’s challenges related to the topic.
According to the company, the group is composed of “people who represent all social markers and all the regions where the company operates”. Its first official action was to conduct field research with more than 10 companies in Brazil and abroad to capture learning and best practices on the subject.
Based on this, four main strategies were defined to start the activities in the division:
- create affinity groups
- work, train and reduce unconscious biases
- design a comprehensive communication plan
- establish goals for each axis of action within Diversity & Inclusion.
The results are already being noticed in the company. Communication campaigns were carried out on each Diversity & Inclusion axis, as well as the organization of a webinar with guests and the hiring of a consultancy to carry out the training of unconscious biases. Finally, two affinity groups (Gender & Ethnicity) were created in all operations.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION VIDEO
Maxion Structural Components is proud to celebrate its people. In the last two years, we have taken important steps towards a more diverse and inclusive company for everyone. We have worked on highly relevant topics and involved our leaders to achieve these goals. And we won’t stop. More and more we want to be “unique and united” so the differences could be respected!
