Conduct of the Employees

IOCHPE-MAXION expects fairness from all of its EMPLOYEES in the way that they carry out the business and their activities. IOCHPE-MAXION does not permit the donation or receipt of money, presents, services or goods that are intended to have an improper influence on the behavior of another person, organization, politician, government employee or entity, in an attempt to gain commercial or personal advantage.

IOCHPE-MAXION expects all of its EMPLOYEES to maintain secrecy in relation to any information of a confidential nature involving the company, its business, clients and suppliers, including after the employee is no longer in the company’s employ.

IOCHPE-MAXION considers the existence of conflict of interest whenever the EMPLOYEE takes part in any activity that is incompatible with the company’s interests.

IOCHPE-MAXION regards the following conduct on the part of its EMPLOYEES as being unacceptable, which may lead to termination of employment (always in compliance with the legal provisions): Carrying out any parallel activity that negatively affects his/her working hours or performance at IOCHPE-MAXION;

Participating as owner, partner, manager, employee or service provider of any company that has a commercial relationship with IOCHPE-MAXION, or that are its competitor;

Using IOCHPE-MAXION’s goods or services for his/her own benefit or for the benefit of third parties;

Benefiting or offering privileges to suppliers or any service provider companies that have a commercial relationship with IOCHPE-MAXION, or that are its competitors.

Requesting sponsorship from suppliers or service providers for any activities other than charitable ones and, even in such cases, only when the requests have been previously approved by IOCHPE-MAXION’s Executive Board.

Using the prestige of his/her position or privileged information in relation to IOCHPE-MAXION for his/her own benefit or for the benefit of third parties;

Violating any of the provisions of this CODE OF ETHICS.
