WATER TREATMENT

Besides the prominent position already established by Maxion within its market segment, the investment in the expansion of stations reinforces the company’s main commitments defined in its environmental policy, which is the prevention of pollution and compliance with the law, always acting in the continuous improvement and the refinement of its processes, which are important for the sustainability of its business fundamentals.

Enlarging the capacity of the treatment plants to ensure greater process stability and improve the quality of the effluents returned to the river.

With the expansion of the stations, we increase the capacity of the sewage treatment station (ETE) at 100% and 125% of capacity (ETDI) treatment of the industrial waste station.

ENVIRONMENTAL ITINERARY

Program for students from public and private schools with focus on our environmental responsibility programs.

Students get to know the production environment, and then the effluent treatment stations. At the end of the itinerary, students receive a photo-souvenir of the meeting and take part in raffles.

SELECTIVE COLLECTION

The selective collection at Maxion Cruzeiro aims not only the organized disposal, but also the awareness for the recycling of waste materials, reducing its environmental impact.

Waste Collectors properly identified by colors and labels are found in all sectors of the company. The following products are collected: paper products, cardboards, soda cans and metals, paper cups, plastic and non-recyclable materials (napkins, organic products).

Volunteer Centre in Cruzeiro, Santa Casa, Educandário São Vicente de Paulo, APAE, PE. José Gumercindo Home (Lar PE. José Gumercindo), Roadrunner Athletic Association (Associação Atlética Papa-Léguas).

Winter Clothes Donation Campaign, Hunger Free Christmas,and Health and Quality of life in the community ,etc.

FORMARE CRUZEIRO

With the support of Fundação Iochpe, which manages the project Formare throughout Brazil, Maxion Cruzeiro plays an important social function in order to improve the quality of peoples life and communities in which it operates, investing in education and welfare.

With the dedication of teachers and volunteer employees, The Project Formare is a school that works with the manufacturing unit of the company, offering professional training to underprivileged youth between 16 and 17 years old, seeking a comprehensive training and their integration into the formal market.

English classes for the children of employees. The teachers are volunteer employees.

SESI

Scholarship for children of employees who attend high school in SESI, integrated into the technical course in Senai.

CULTURAL AND SOCIAL SUPPORT THROUGH TAX INCENTIVE

Sports and Cultural support through tax incentive laws. There are several projects and events held with the support of the Rouanet Law, ProAc (Cultural Action Program), encouragement to sports, etc.

SCHOLARSHIPS TO EMPLOYEES

Several scholarships are annually awarded with 50% subsidies for undergraduate and language  programs.
